Viscosity Grade Bitumen [VGB]
Viscosity grade bitumen is graded based on absolute viscosity at 60 ºC or a kinematic viscosity at 135 ºC.
The SI physical unit of dynamic viscosity is poise, and kinematic viscosity is expressed in centistokes.
Pure bitumen has been graded based on AASHTO-M226 and ASTM-D3381 standards.
Viscosity grade bitumens have a thermoplastic property which causes the material to soften at high temperatures and to harden at lower temperatures. This unique temperature/ viscosity relationship is important when determining the performance parameters such as the adhesion, rheology, durability and application temperatures of bitumen
Allianceco finds that supply chains play a critical role in bitumen’s markets. Companies are increasingly challenging their supply chains on multiple dimensions, including flexibility, cost reduction, predictable risk management and customer service levels.
We believe that a supply chain that is closely aligned with business strategy helps to advance business objectives and achieve sustained, profitable growth
Our supply chain solutions contribute to ensuring that our services are a source of competitive advantage for meeting both short- and long-term goals.
