Vandal proof touch screen for public locations

VisualPlanet provides PCAP touch screen solutions for public places. A PCAP overlay can be laminated to the back of any glass pane to turn it into a touch sensitive surface.

PCAP overlays have a number of benefits:

  • Robust: PCAP overlays work through glass up to 10-millimetres thick to protect the LCD screen from damage. Your touch screen has reduced downtime, requires less maintenance and provides the maximum return on investment.
  • Reliable: VisualPlanet’s interactive foils work in hot, cold and wet weather. The touch screen operates reliably in harsh environments all year round to maximise utilisation of the display. PCAP overlays are suitable for use with enclosures rated up to IP68.

PCAP overlay technical specifications

Detection method Projected Capacitive using a 10-micrometre copper sensing array.
Sizes 15 to 85 inches. Larger foils are available on request.
Glass thickness 2 millimetres to 10 millimetres. Glass thicker than 10 millimetres is available on request.
